Lakeside View is a new locked rehabilitation service for young women transitioning from Adolescent to adult services. It is designed specifically for people between the ages of 18-25 years.
The hospital has 24 beds comprising of a 12 bed unit, an 8 bed unit and a 4 bed unit.
The service is versatile enough to manage complex needs in a safe and therapeutic environment to support and promote independence according to progress and changing needs. Individual programmes will provide structured treatment, balanced with building life skills and preparation for adult education, work opportunities and transition into adulthood.
It is a service for people with diagnoses of mental illness and personality disorder who present with challenging behaviours including self-harm. They may be detained under the Mental Health Act (1983), be subject to Ministry of Justice Restrictions or Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
