Description :

Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK. With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes we focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.

Sketchley School is a specialist school for young people aged 8 to 19 years with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). Pupils may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and a lack of social understanding.

Set within an acre of mature grounds in the heart of Sketchley, the school offers a safe, structured and predictable environment for pupils to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible and make real life choices as they reach adulthood.

We focus on the needs of each individual pupil to create a framework that promotes self-confidence and self-esteem. We aim to raise standards in the education of young people with autism and help them to lead meaningful, fulfilling and happy lives.

Are you flexible and want to work amongst a successful team? We require Bank Teaching Assistants preferably with experience of working within an autism setting, to work under the direction of the Class Teacher, to lead prepared educational sessions/lessons in all aspects of pupil related classroom and wider school based activities associated with the schools educational approach.  The ability to work flexibly and the confidence to deal with challenging behaviours are essential for this post..

What we’d like to give you:

  • A competitive salary
  • Enhanced disclosure cost coverage
  • Comprehensive induction and commitment to ongoing training

This unique approach ensures that every individual has the opportunity to achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life with the Priory Group.

As 85% of our services are publicly funded and delivered in partnership with commissioners, our teams work with commissioning bodies across the country to provide transparent pricing models and evidence-based care programmes.
