HQ4526: HGV Driver / Specialist Car Transporter
Location: Radlett, Hertfordshire
Salary: Basic £26,000 (OTE £30,000 - £40,000)
An opportunity has arisen for a Class 1 HGV Driver to work for a high-end car transportation firm. Our client has a fleet of enclosed car transporters for covered vehicle transport of high value, prestigious and vintage cars. The vehicle sizes range from single car carriers through to six car carriers.
Applications from ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this role and are strongly encouraged.
The successful applicant will be tasked to provide the safe transportation of high-end vehicles for various prestigious customers throughout the United Kingdom and beyond.
You will be required to stay away at times, the average length of time away is usually 3 to 4 nights per week but this can vary depending upon client requests and locations. Travel expenses will be provided for any time away and overnight stays.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
Essential:
- Must hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E)
- Must hold drivers Digital Tachograph Card
- Must hold a valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
- Must hold a valid passport
- Must live locally or be prepared to relocate
Desirable:
- Experience driving abroad
- Full understanding of Driver hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation

- Flexible approach to duties and working hours
- Deliver a secure, discreet and confidential service
