Farleigh FE College is a residential Specialist College of Further Education for young people with Asperger’s Syndrome and associated disorders. We provide our learners opportunities to fulfil their academic potential by studying in mainstream FE Colleges and having the benefit of a broad range of courses, including A Levels.
Education is continued within the Farleigh residential setting with opportunities for sessions on literacy, numeracy and one to one sessions on independent living skills.
As a Night Waking Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Experience is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.
Supporting students during the evening/night you will also carry out a number of admin and domestic tasks. You will ensure that the residences are secure throughout the hours of 10pm – 8am. You will be alert and observant with regards to the well being of the learners and aware of the specific needs of learners with Asperger’s Syndrome. You will work as a member of the team, sharing and recording information as appropriate.
