Oaktree Manor specialises in working with men and women with a primary diagnosis of learning disability and sensory impairment, presenting with high risks of challenging behaviours and forensic history. Patients may also be diagnosed with co-existing conditions of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger’s Syndrome or Personality Disorder.

Our Charge Nurse role involves:

Providing visible leadership and effective shift management to the nursing team for our patient group.  The patient group consists of people with Learning Disabilities, Dual Diagnosis, Personality Disorder and Enduring Mental Illness within a low secure ward.

To be successful as Charge Nurse you’ll need:

  • 2 – 4 years demonstrable post registration experience.
  • Experience of working in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience of secure environment and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Willing to take part in on call rotation
