Abbey House provides a specialist psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery service for 25 men aged 18 years or older with enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder. We support the needs of both detained and voluntary patients and can manage patients with complex needs, including those with a history of offending.

We aim to provide our patients with the skills they need to lead a happy and fulfilling life back in the community. We support those requiring short periods of care prior to moving out of acute care, as well as those stepping down from secure services.

The role:

As a staff nurse you will be expected to manage a small case load supported by senior staff nurses and charge nurses. You will be an active member of the MDT, and will provide recovery focused care for the patients at Abbey House.

As a staff nurse you will be supervising Care Support Workers on your shift and encouraging group work within your shift.

You will be responsible for administering medication to patients and monitoring the patients mental health throughout the shift.

At abbey House the shifts run from 07:30 to 19:45 with 1.5 hours break. There are staff benefits including child care vouchers salary sacrifise schemes for new cars, dental and health care.
