Ty Catrin is a low secure mental illness and personality disorder service for men and women who require a medium-term placement and recovery-orientated specialist treatment in order to progress on their care pathway towards rehabilitation care.
The facility is split into six wards along with semi-independent flats onsite
Our Kitchen Assistant role involves:
- Preparing, cooking and serving light hot & cold meals as and when required
- Working under the direction of the Chef Manager
- Taking all possible precautions to safeguard the welfare & safety of staff, patients & visitors
To be successful as a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll need:
- Previous catering experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of confidentiality and sharing information
- A basic understanding of food hygiene
- A non-judgmental attitude
- An awareness of equal opportunity and diversity
- A positive attitude toward mental health
- The ability to work within an environment presenting with difficult and challenging situations
- The ability to work within the hospital team
- Willingness to work Occasional weekends and bank holidays
