The Company and the Role:
The Company is an award winning gastro pub chain operating 7 sites in the South East. They are currently seeking an Assistant Manager (AM) for their public house located near Tonbridge, Kent.
The position is permanent.
They are looking for a committed Assistant Manager with a passion for management and excellent customer service who is ready to continue developing their career in an award-winning venue.
Established in 2003 the Company is offering a salary up to £19.5k plus bonus, plus tips and benefits including a pension scheme, staff loyalty scheme after 3 months, Uniform and Childcare Vouchers.
Key Features of the Role:
As Assistant Manager for an award winning gastro pub where all food is prepared in house using fresh ingredients and local suppliers wherever possible.
Having pride and passion for the great food and service that is offered in a relaxed and friendly environment.
You will be expected to be self-motivated and to lead a team through professional communication methods, as the face of the company to customers.
As a member of the management team you will be expected to be emotionally robust and someone who can always offer great customer service. Even in the face of adversity and pressure.
You will be a great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy environment, to an award winning pub standard, enhancing the company`s reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality that is second to none.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Assistant Manager, ideally with experience of working in a pub or at a similar level, as well as being progression minded who is looking to move up to the next career level.
Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering and hospitality qualification.
Alternatively, the Company is supportive to the ex-military community, they welcome applications from Drinks / Bar / Kitchen Managers at all levels who are either about to leave the Armed Forces or who have trained and served in the Armed Forces.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring a broad food and beverage knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential.
You must have experience and a desire to work within a Gastro Pub, possessing ambition to continually push the business forward.
What`s on Offer:
Basic salary will be in the region of £16.5 - 19.5K per annum plus bonus, plus tips (which will be worth around £80 per week). Other benefits include a pension scheme, staff loyalty Scheme after 3 months, Uniform and Childcare Vouchers.
Standard working week is 45 hours working 5 shifts a week.
