The Remedial and Repairs Estimator will join a busy office environment of a well-established manufacturer of centrifugal pump systems, and will be responsible for preparing and submitting remedial/repairs works quotes following receipt of the Field Service Engineer`s site visit reports. The Remedial and Repairs Estimator will ensure that all quotes are produced timely and followed-up accordingly, and make sure they are converted into winning orders. Commission will be awarded based on orders won.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing the Field Service Engineer`s site visit reports, and to develop those into quotes ready for submittal to our client`s customers;
- Reviewing the customer`s enquiries and also develop those into quotes to submit to our client`s customers;
- Obtaining prices and quotes from suppliers or internal departments to prepare quotes;
- Go over the job scope with the Field Service Engineers to confirm labour, tooling and equipment scopes which may be required to price the quote;
- Follow up on the status and progress of the quote with the customers;
- Negotiating (within guidelines) with the customer during the follow-up process and closing the sale;
- Communicating with both our client`s customers and the Field Service Engineers to identify and act upon any opportunities to upsell our client`s services;
- Ensuring all quotes are processed within our systems including but not limited to SAP, SalesForce and ServiceMAX;
- Act on opportunities to enhance the margin through upselling and/or reduction in cost;
- Ensuring such systems are regularly reviewed and information validated to progress the quotes;
- Prepare, from time to time, the contract and qualifying documentation required to submit the quotes;
- Handing over each formally-won customer order into the Fulfilment Team;
- Supporting the sales function of the account managers;
- Occasionally being involved in a variety of support and administration functions necessary to the operation of the department team;
- Ensuring compliance with systems and integrity of data being current;
- Covering other team member absences.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent);
- Valid UK Driving License;
- Understanding of rotating machinery and mechanical/electrical systems would be an asset;
- Previously worked on diesel engines;
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Previous experience of SAP would be an advantage;
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions;
- Use of a CRM system such as Salesforce (desirable)
- Excellent customer service and teamwork;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Commercially aware.

- Confident and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills (in particular on the telephone);
- A positive can-do attitude who will champion the position of the customer with consideration of what is the best interest for our client, by driving the quote submission and conversion;
- A good sense of humour and the ability to work under pressure in a busy office environment;
- A desire to be part of and develop the team culture and business process;
- Ability to work unsupervised in a productive manner and prioritise work load.
The Remedial and Repairs Estimator will be office based, however may be required on occasion to travel to our client`s other locations, and the client`s customers / suppliers` premises. A company vehicle or rental car will be provided for such journeys.
Salary: Basic salary at £18,500 but with realistic On-Target Earnings, salary can reach circa £25,000.
