Woodland View is a locked rehabilitation unit that has 31 beds. The beds are configured over 3 ward that each have a unique philosophy of care and treatment. The unit values it`s team members contribution to the development of the service and works in partnership with our patients. The unit supports the development of our team members and are at the forefront in regards to succession planning.
As The ward manager you will uphold the philosophy of the organisation and that of the unit. You will promote working in partnership with the patients and with the stakeholders in their care. Family liaison and supporting the family and carers is key to the role so as the best possible outcomes are achievable for our patients. Being a credible and positive role model for the nursing team and the other members of the senior management team and Multidisciplinary team is paramount . As the ward Manager you will be instrumental in being able to further develop the nursing service and being clinically credible.Succession planning is an integral part in the success of any organisation and so the ward manager will support and leads in the development of the more junior staff.The involvement of the Patients in the development of the service is key to its success and as the ward manager you will lead in the development of forums that give our patients a voice.This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to develop their managerial skills and be a major contributor to the development of the service.

The patient group consists of personality disordered individuals and those experiencing enduring mental illnesses.
You will work within an identified career development pathway and be expected to complete appropriate competency development portfolios.
