The Cloisters is a 24 bedded open rehabilitation unit, set within a peaceful environment on the edge of Newbury. The unit offers in-patient rehabilitation services to service users who require longer hospital stays than provided in an acute ward, to develop independent living skills prior to moving into community based accommodation.

The role:

We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to work at The Cloisters as apart of our small housekeeping team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering an efficient and high quality accommodation and housekeeping service within the unit. You will be expected to ensure that all housekeeping supplies are maintained securely and report damage, faults and other related issues to the line manager. You must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and have a professional attitude to work.  

Applicants must:

  • Understand basic numeracy and literacy.
  • Be able to prioritise work.
  • Have good communication skills as you will be interacting with Service Users as well as staff.
  •  COSHH is required but training will be given
