The In-house Electronics Engineer is responsible for the servicing, fault finding, and repair of a range of electronics equipment down to component level.
Based in Cambridgeshire, our client is a global leader in the manufacture, installation and servicing of monitoring equipment for the poultry industry, and requires the Electronics Engineer to be based in-house and work Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5pm.
Applications from ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this role and are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, fault-find and repair a wide range of electronics equipment down to component level;
- Reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of electronics equipment including voltage checks;
- Product design and circuit board design for customers (from time to time).
Person specification:
- Able to assist the service engineers and customers with their product related queries;
- Self-motivated and confident;
- Ability to work within a small team;
- Flexible approach to duties and working hours.
Experience & Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electronics or in a relevant field (Essential)
- Problem solving skills
- Knowledge of hand-drawn circuit board design (desirable)
- Valid Driving License
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000
