Located in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Brynawel is a 4 bedded residential community home providing step down care for both male and female service users suffering from complex mental illness.

The facility uses a holistic and person centred approach. With support from our experienced multidisciplinary team, service users are encouraged to gain confidence and make choices, working towards independence and an improved quality of life.

We are looking to recruit a personable, flexible and motivated Health Care Assistant to support our qualified staff with the delivery of care to our patients. You will be involved in the personal care and meeting the psychological needs of a diverse group of service users with varying degrees of mental and physical issues. You will be caring and attentive with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships with people. It is also important that you work well in a team as you will work alongside qualified nurses and staff from other professions.

Shift patterns are 07.45AM-20.00 pm and 19.45-8am waking nights. This will include weekends bank holiday and Christmas period.

What we’d like from you:

  • Previous experience within a healthcare setting desirable
  • Driving license-minimum 3 years as driving to support individuals is a vital part of the role.
