The facility has been a hospital since 1867 and has established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care. For people suffering from mild to moderate mental health issues, such as stress and anxiety, the hospital provides a range of outpatient based therapy services such as individual and group based CBT. We also provide in patient services for CAMHS, CAMHS ED, Adult ED, addictions and General Psychiatry.

This stunning location houses the flagship of the Priory Hospitals Group and the staff are committed to living up to the reputation.  

Transports people and goods to and from a variety of locations, in order to assist with the operation of the Priory unit.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drives patients, children, young people/adults to a variety of different activities, ensuring that the journey is completed in a safe and timely manner, using the most efficient route.
  • Complies at all times with Priory Driving Policy.
  • Drives staff and other visitors to/from the unit as required by the line manager. Collects and delivers consumables or assets for the unit.
  • Ensures that the unit’s vehicles are cleaned regularly, and that any damage or faults are dealt with immediately. Also ensures that the vehicles are fuelled at all times
  • Ensures that the unit’s vehicles are maintained in the correct and safe manner, ensuring that all professional servicing is carried out in line with the manufacturer’s guidance.
  • Assists and supports regional management with developing and implementing new improves services.
  • Regularly reviews the pricing of the service in line with demand for the service.

Experience

  • Some experience gained within an appropriate driving-based role.

Autonomy & Impact

  • The role holder undertakes routine and regular tasks with some discretion to prioritise, e.g. route variation, timings, etc.

Intelligent Problem Solving

  • The majority of problem solving is routine, however, occasionally, the nature of the role will necessitate some adaptive thinking, e.g. to avoid delays, etc.

Responsibility

  • Occasionally required to assist less experienced colleagues.

Budgets & equipment

  • No budgetary or financial responsibility. Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of specific company vehicles and telephony equipment.
