Description :

Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK. With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes we focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.

Tadley Court school is set in a beautiful semi rural location with four acres of well maintained grounds. We are a day school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 5 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Our children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.

We offer a safe, structured and predictable environment where students can develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible allowing them to make real life choices as they approach and reach adulthood.

To succeed we need people who share our passion for making a difference and ideally (though not essentially as training will be given) have previous experience of autism. We are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare and expect all staff to share this commitment.

What happens when you combine first-class educational and caring resources with a multidisciplinary approach to teaching and exceptional pupil outcomes? You get Tadley Court School – an innovative and highly successful provider of specialist education for 60 children and young people aged 5 to 19 years old.

And you get an extraordinary career environment too.

We specialise in providing quality teaching and care for learners with moderate to severe learning difficulties, specifically those with ASD and associated behavioural and communication needs. You will join our established team of education, care and specialist therapy professionals, using your expertise to help support student progress within a caring and supportive school community. In addition to inspiring and motivating students, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching standards and bring a fresh perspective to new education initiatives.

This role calls for an exemplary Primary teacher with proven ability to drive attainment levels and create a stimulating learning environment sensitive to individual capabilities and needs. You will ideally have experience of managing young people with challenging behaviour, including those with ASD and communication difficulties – but we would also like to hear from newly qualified teachers with an interest in and desire to learn more about special needs. A strong team player, you will be comfortable taking on new challenges and working in a highly collaborative way. Add to that a knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum, and you will quickly make your mark as part of our forward-thinking school.

In return, you will enjoy a bespoke induction package, ongoing professional development, excellent career prospects and a culturally diverse and inclusive working environment.
