Abbey House is a 25 bedded all male mental health Hospital we have 20 beds in the main house and 5 beds in the semi-independent flats. Abbey House is a recovery focused hospital and works closely with the CCGs. At the current time Abbey House has a Good in all areas with the CQC and we have 3Qs with the HIW.  Free Mails on duty, and free parking available plus other benefits.

Our Kitchen Assistant role involves:

  • Helping the Chef’s in preparation of foods and serving patients, visitors and staff at mealtimes.
  • To make sure the kitchen equipment and floors are  cleaned in a safe and hygienic manner on a daily basis.
  • Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.

To be successful as a Kitchen Assistant , you’ll need:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • To be a team player
  • A flexible, positive, team-orientated approach.
  • You must to able to work unsupervised and carryout duties in a diligent and thorough manner.
  • To be aware at all times of the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
  • To be aware at all times of the importance of maintaining security at all times.
