HQ4672 Removals Driver
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (DOE)
Location: Wimbledon, London
An exciting opportunity has become available to work for a prestigious removals company, as a Removals Driver, working to the highest standards within our industry. You will handle furniture and personal effects in a professional manner and demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude with customers, employees and sub- contractors.
Applications from ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.
Although you will predominately work within the London area, you may occasionally be required to travel further into England or even Europe resulting in occasional one night overnight stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Wrapping contents of client’s properties
- Managing relationships with client
- Treat all customers professionally, with great dignity and respect
- Ensure all goods are clearly identified using the correct procedures
- Exceed customers’ expectations by going the extra mile
- Represent and uphold the company’s brand at all times, ensuring clean personal appearance and tidy uniform

- Ensure timesheets are fully completed accurately and regularly
- Managing junior members of staff (porters)
- Maintaining a high standard of driving in accordance with Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions
- Adhering to conditions of Operators Licence
- Obeying rules on Tachographs
- Observing working time breaks
- Performing daily walk around checks of the vehicles
- Completing and returning vehicles defect log
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Class 1 or Class 2 Licence
- Physically Fit
