Oaktree Manor specialises in working with men and women with a primary diagnosis of learning disability and sensory impairment, presenting with high risks of challenging behaviours and forensic history. Patients may also be diagnosed with co-existing conditions of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger’s Syndrome or Personality Disorder.
Our Housekeeping Supervisor role involves:
- Supervising the smooth running of the housekeeping services under the direction of the Estates Manager
- Ensuring the housekeeping service complies with statutory and mandatory legislation, including company policies, procedures, and departmental protocols
- Ensuring and safeguarding the well-being and best interest of all patients, employees and visitors at Oaktree Manor Learning Disability Services.
- Promptly and accurately reporting and recording all unusual and untoward occurrences
- Complying with Health & Safety and Environmental Health Regulations
- Supervising, coaching and monitoring the performance of housekeeping staff, reporting any breaches of policy or legislation to the Estates Manager
- Carrying out annual performance appraisals and 12 weekly supervision meetings with all housekeeping staff
- Planning, co-ordinating and working to a flexible rota, thereby ensuring that the needs of the service are met at all times
To be successful as Housekeeping Supervisor you’ll need:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management position
- Previous cleaning experience working in a care environment is essential
- Awareness of safety and hygiene issues in a working environment and basic knowledge of Health & Safety and infection control procedures is required
