Priory Lodge School is a school for young people aged 7-19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated difficulties. Most of our pupils are academically able and we offer GCSEs and some A levels. Located in Roehampton, SW London and with a Post-16 Learning Hub in Putney for up to 20 students, we aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant at Priory Lodge School, working part-time for the equivalent of 3 days a week to support our Site Manager. Under direction, the post-holder will deliver an efficient and effective maintenance service within Priory Lodge School’s 3 sites to assist in the well-being, safety and comfort of students and pupils.
The role also involves providing a security service, maintaining the security and integrity of the building as well as the safety of its occupants. The role holder will be required to have physical stamina, but will generally work in a pleasant and stable working environment. The problems faced by students & pupils may present difficult and challenging situations, which may heighten the sensory and emotional demands of the role.Basic numeracy and literacy are minimum requirements for this role. The applicant must have a full UK driving licence with 0 points; this licence must have been held for at least 3 years.
Experience gained within a facilities, operational, trade or maintenance role are preferred.
For all roles we require a minimum of two references. References provided must cover the last 5 years.
