Title: Class 2 Driver

Location: Oldham

Salary: up to £36,184

Hours: 51 Hours / Week over 4 Shifts

To provide a first class on time and friendly delivery service to all customers and suppliers. This position is for multi drop with routes starting to go out from approx. 3am in the morning.

Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged. (Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Royal Marines)

Key Tasks:

To ensure that all goods are delivered accurately and on time to all customers.
To ensure that the correct goods are delivered to the correct customer.
To ensure all paperwork is filled in correctly and all customers sign for their goods.
To always wear the company uniform when making deliveries. Including the wearing of safety clothing and footwear.
To be aware of and adhere to all driving legislation required for driving a LGV vehicle.
To follow all Health & Safety procedures and be responsible for own and other peoples Health & Safety.
To undertake any other duties that may prove necessary.
To comply at all times with all relevant legislation in food safety and chill chain standards.
To ensure that the fridge is set to the correct temperature for the job being done.
To ensure that your vehicle is maintained in a safe and clean condition by doing all safety checks and filling in your defect book.
To ensure the security of all company property that is under your charge.
To co-operate fully with the driver debrief procedure.
To ensure collection of all empty equipment from the customer.
To work as part of a team in achieving department objectives, in line with company targets.
