An excellent opportunity for highly skilled (radio) Field Engineers to join our well established client. To be successful you will have a background in RF radio communications engineering, with both field and workshop based engineering depth. IT installation skills and experience will also be considered a distinct advantage.
Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position.
Main Purpose:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out planned engineering installation work, respond to customer breakdowns and providing technical support for customers
- Completion of planned Installation work, including vehicles and systems
- Part of the engineering call out scheme
- Respond to and repair customer break downs
- Radio encoding, fleet planning, site surveys and report writing
- Cable installation, including under floor, ceilings, masts and repair
Qualifications & Experience:
- RF product manufacturer training/certification
- IP networking
- IT Installation an advantage
- RF installation experience
- Commercial experience of PMR/DMR products
- Experience in fault finding across a multitude of telecommunication platforms.
- Advanced RF system experience
- IP networking experience
