HQ4745 Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Carnwath (Larnark)

An opportunity now exists to work for one of the UK’s leading Structural Steel Fabrication and Construction companies where you will lead a team of 5 maintenance operatives and support the production department to assist in the efficient and effective management of the day to day running of the Manufacturing facility.

Management Objectives;
- You will liaise with the production team to ensure that targets for the machine utilisation, efficiency and effectively are set and maintained.
- To meet the challenge of ensuring all machines / plant are maintained to a high standard by coordinating the maintenance department, ensuring preventative maintenance procedures are adhered to and continually reviewed for improvement.
- To liaise with the scheduling department to review machine capacity for forward planning / routing of materials.
- To ensure reporting procedures are in place and communicated to all company employees / managers
Key Responsibilities:
- To liaise with the production scheduler to review machine capacity and efficiently process materials through various machine bays to achieve production schedules based on the current production planner.
- To plan preventative maintenance programs for machines and consumables and ensure training and development of employees is reviewed regularly.
- Will assist in fault finding during or after breakdown / repair and shall report faults to relevant department heads.
- To liaise with the purchasing department to ensure cost effective procurement of spares / replacement parts.
- Shall ensure safe systems of work are planned and adhered to during all maintenance work, including COSHH assessments.
- To review Machine output and submit reports to the Management Team.
- To regularly communicate with the Maintenance team and machine operatives on their performance based on Target vs Actuals in relation to both preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Shall monitor machine processes and procedures for improvements and review findings with senior management team.
- Shall review and Issue KPI’s in relation to machine bays
- Will ensure that all employees involved in preventative maintenance and repairs are aware of and maintain good housekeeping practices.
- To act in a professional manner when dealing with all employees, colleagues, suppliers and customers.
- To carry out any reasonable request made by any member of the Senior Management Team.
- To be On-Call (1 week in 3) to cover breakdown at site. (Extra pay for Call-Outs)
Keyskills / Attributes;
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering or similar
- Demonstrable experience in Maintenance, fault finding, diagnostic, repairs of electrical production machinery
