Location:        Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire

Job Type:       Permanent

Salary:            £22000-24000 depending on experience

Background

One of the world`s leading designers and manufacturers of advanced driving robots used for vehicle development is now looking to recruit a Robot Production and Test Technician to join its highly skilled team. The Robot Production and Test Technician will assemble, build, test and quality inspect robot systems to the highest standards.

 

This role would suit ex-military candidates and applications from ex-service personnel are strongly encouraged.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, build, test and quality inspect robot systems to the highest standards using the correct and most current testing procedures and electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • All systems to be completed on time and shipped on or before the agreed shipping dates.
  • It is expected that the Technician will use previous knowledge to identify potential issues and implement corrective action to eliminate any re-occurrence.
  • Demonstrate the correct working behaviours and right attitudes at all times.
  • Abide by ISO9001 all protocols

  • To work with and help, train staff within the department

  • Workshop to operate in a clean, tidy and organised environment.

 

Key Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

  • Mechanical and/or Electronic Engineering background

  • Proven experience with small production background

  • Working to deadlines

  • Automotive engineering background

  • Exposure to Quality Assurance – ISO 9001

  • Electronics/Electrical fault finding background

  • Electronics/Electrical fault finding skills

  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, access etc)

  • Good technical communication skills

  • Working to procedures and guidelines

  • Able to work within a team or independently with minimum supervision

  • Strong team player and have “a can do attitude”

  • Engineering qualification (Minimum NVQ/BTEC Level 3)

  • Problem solving and corrective action skills

  • Continuous improvement techniques

  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings.
