Salary:            £45,000 plus £5,000 Company Allowance

Location:       Basingstoke, Hampshire

Position:        Permanent

Hours:            Monday to Friday - 8 hours per day

As a well-established material handling company since the 1960s is now looking to recruit a UK Fleet and Procurement Manager for the site in Basingstoke, Hampshire.  The UK Fleet and Procurement Manager will be responsible for strategy, maintenance and efficiency savings of corporate fleet of circa 180 company cars and commercial vehicles.  This UK Fleet and Procurement Manager will report to the UK HR Manager and must build and develop business partnering relationships with lease companies and manufacturers to secure beneficial rates for the company.

The role of UK Fleet and Procurement Manager comes with a very competitive salary of £45,000 plus £5,000 Company Allowance, but also comes with a very good company benefits package.

The UK Fleet and Procurement Manager must be able to demonstrate at least 3 years` relevant experience in a leading role in a large and diverse fleet management and maintenance environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Budgetary responsibility with a requirement to prepare annual budgets and forecasts establishing unit costs and recovery plans working on a WLC basis.
  • Day to day business as usual operational management of the fleet and associated issues including (but not limited to) hire/contract lease of new vehicles; DVRs; fuel cards; toll maintenance; parking fines/intended prosecutions.
  • HMRC submissions including P46 & P11Ds/P11Dbs.
  • Development and provision of fleet analytics
  • Design, develop and Implement a cradle to grave Fleet Management process
  • Responsible for developing systems, processes and procedures which seek to ensure that the requirements of the \"O-Licencing\" regime are monitored and complied with.
  • Responsible for making applications and providing any necessary undertakings and/or declarations on behalf of the Company`s fleet in respect of licencing under the Goods Vehicle (Licencing of Operators) Act 1995 or subsequent legislation.
  • Develop the role with a view to expanding it to include all company logistics management within an 18-24-month period.
  • You will also undertake such other relevant duties as may from time to time be required.
