SW 4850: B2B Van Driver/Sales Representative
Salary: £23,000 Basic + Commission
Location: Greenford
My client wishes to appoint a number of Business to Business Van Driver/ Sales Representatives (VDSR) to develop sales and distribution of their brand. Clients and routes will be provided and each day will start and end at their local depot. You will be responsible for a territory within your area when executing your duties. On this occasion, my client is specifically interested in ex-servicemen and women, and you will have to have served in HM Forces to apply through this agency.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work in line with Job Description, Minimum Standard performance criteria and all current / relevant Company policies, procedures & practices to ensure VDSR performance meets Company requirements
- Adhere to journey plans, ensuring that all Customers are serviced accordingly and that customer satisfaction is achieved consistently
- Through the adherence of daily / weekly / period journey plans aim to call on 160 customers on a regular and reliable basis, similarly ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved consistently
- Develop first class commercial relationships with all customers and maintain on a consistent basis, always looking to ‘go the extra mile’
- On an ongoing basis and using initiative, innovation and sales leads, look to develop the sales territory by canvassing and opening worthwhile new accounts
- Ensure proactive management of time, adhering to ‘selling time standards’ on a daily basis and utilising various planning and organising techniques for maximum efficiency
- Present oneself as a focal point for all territorial sales issues, operating in an enthusiastic, professional and knowledgeable manner at all times
- Ensure full accountability of all stock issued to territory
- Comply with all current Company transport policies and procedures and as per instructions received by ASM / DSDM or Head Office Logistics Manager
- Ensure that your assigned Company vehicle is maintained to the correct minimum working standard, ensuring adherence to communicated servicing schedules
Experience and Qualifications:
- A full, valid UK drivers licence (7.5t), with Tacho and CPC an advantage (training can be provided). There are C class vacancies too in the same location
- VDSRs will be self-motivated, proud of their operation with high personal standards, operating a clean and tidy vehicle and have a professional appearance
- Good geographical knowledge of a defined sales area
- Customer-focused & able to provide excellent customer service
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to communicate at a variety of levels
- Self-motivated with the competencies to successfully negotiate, persuade & influence
- Proven competence of working on own initiative and within a team
- Excellent time-management and planning and organising skills, with the capacity to work to tight deadlines
- Determination for achievement in a results orientated and target driven environment
- A problem-solver who can overcome objections
- Able to manage oneself, work in line with established practices and work effectively within a team
- Commercially aware and able to see ‘the big picture’
To reiterate, on this occasion, my client is specifically interested in ex-servicemen and women, and you will have to have served in HM Forces (Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army or RAF) to apply through this agency. Basic wage is £23,000 with £28,000 realistic and achievable OTE.
