Monriday to friday (08:00 hrs - 18:00 hrs)
plus possibly saturday mornings
We are looking to recruit an Electrician to undertake electrical installation, responsive repairs, testing and maintenance work on domestic and other owned properties to current industry standards, This Electrician must hold at least an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical installation and qualified with current edition wiring regulations.
The Electrician is required to work productively and to achieve high standards of customer service whilst meeting deadlines and adhering to safety standards always.
The Salary of the role is 32K and the Electrician must be flexible and work between the hours of 8am and 6pm with the possibility of some saturdays mornings. In emergency situations the Electrician may be required to work outside these hours.
Main Responsibilities and Activities
Undertake electrical testing and inspection of occupied and empty properties, ensuring excellent customer service and high standards of electrical safety
Undertake servicing, maintenance and installation of central and electrical heating systems in line with our clients and manufacturers guidelines
Drive and maintain a vehicle in accordance with vehicle policies and the Highway Code, ensuring the safety and security of loads, stock and tools always
Ensure that all relevant documentation is completed and returned within the required timescales
Ensure accurate and efficient reporting and recording of information
Review working practicies on a regular basis ensuring continuous improvement and a high levelof service to our customers
Work effectively with internal teams and partner agencies to ensure the best support service to our customers
Ensure that policies and procedures which meet statutory and regulatory requirements are adhered to whilst promoting the Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Standards and Compliance agendas
Promote the equalities agenda
Deliver customer focused services which achieve key performance indicators
Develop and maintain effective working relationships which will enhance service delivery
Act always in the interests of the client and its customers
Actively promote and demonstrate our client`s values
Experience/Qualifications
Essential
An NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation
Qualified to the current edition of wiring regulations
Proven experience of electrical testing and inspection
Proven electrical installation and repairs experience
Experience of working with occupied properties
Experience of working with contractors, partners and other agencies
The ability to carry out all aspects of electrical repairs, maintenance and installations
An in depth understanding of health and safety legislation
A full driving licence
Excellent communication skills
The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
Strong attention to detail
The ability to problem solve
Strong analytical skills
Desirable
Experience of working in either the public or social housing sector
