An established company offering coach hire services for over 30 years has a requirement for a Coach Driver.
The company’s services are mainly focused on the South East and require a Driver to be based within a maximum of 30 miles from Warlingham (Surrey).
Applications from ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this role and are strongly encouraged.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Coach Driver will be expected to:
- Be confident driving a large vehicle;
- Wear a Company uniform (supplied);
- Have a fair knowledge of London and the South East of England (although satnavs are allowed);
- Have excellent inter personal skills as the role requires dealing with and assisting children, vulnerable adults and corporate clients;
- Drive Company vehicles in accordance with the legal requirements and Company procedures;
- Ensure customers with special needs are given every assistance and attention;
- Control difficult/challenging customers within legislative and Company procedures;
- Report any incident that involves injury, damage to any passenger, pedestrian or third-party property immediately, in line with Company procedures.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Clean Driving Licence
- Category D driving entitlement
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) due to the need to work closely with children at times.

The Coach Driver must:
Be presentable in appearance;
Fully understand and be able to provide exemplary customer service;
Be courteous, disciplined and authoritative when required;
Be able to be calm under pressure;
Have a flexible attitude;
Possess high levels of honesty and integrity.
SALARY / PACKAGE
£24,000 - £26,000 per annum (based on a 5-day week)
Overtime is a possibility but not compulsory
28 days` holiday including Bank Holidays
