Description :

This exciting position is with a leading designer and installer of bespoke audio visual systems for corporate, marine and residential clients. As the Audio Visual Engineer you will be responsible for the roll-out and completion of bespoke systems in an efficient and timely manner and to the very highest standards. This role will require you to install all elements of the client’s agreed solution; this could include control processors, room controllers, touch screen displays, room booking systems and digital signage. You will be working with corporate clients predominantly in London.

Applications from ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of all elements of audio visual solutions to site
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and other contractors as required
  • Understand the financial impacts of the installation
  • Be conscious of cost control at all times
  • Document unexpected costs and approve these with the Project Manager
  • Complete timesheets and expenses in an accurate and timely manner

Person Specification:

You must be detail orientated and able to work both independently and as part of a team of installers to achieve efficient and timely installations. You will need to demonstrate an ability to make decisions and resolve problems independently. You should be organised, flexible and resourceful enough to overcome any on site challenges. Excellent communication skills are necessary combined with the ability to create a highly professional approach at all levels within the client organisation.

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

  • Basic computer skills Microsoft Office suite
  • CSCS Health and Safety
  • First-rate understanding of 1st and 2nd fix Audio Visual installations
  • Excellent soldering, crimp and terminating skills
  • Able to work from schematics, site plans and drawings
  • Basic networking experience, including routers, switches and access points
  • Experience of CCTV, gate and door access systems
  • Ability to build and connect Audio Visual racks in a neat, efficient and professional manner
