This establishment is a leading Winchester restaurant, located in the heart of the City Centre. They open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner and the property has 5 boutique bedrooms.
They believe that a dish relies heavily upon its ingredients. They believe you source local produce not just for quality, it`s also imperative for the environment and local economy.
Their evening menu is all about sharing amongst friends. The menu will offer a fantastic list of small, yet shareable dishes served over multiple courses, allowing you to enjoy each dish hot out of the kitchen. The Head Chef looks towards British influences when creating his menu and ensures there are plenty of choice for Vegan and Vegetarians.
They are seeking a Restaurant General Manager. The position is permanent.
Key Features of the Role:
You will pro-actively run the site not only ensuring the smooth running of the day but also plan for the future
You will have complete autonomy for the site P&L and will ensure the correct measures are taken to achieve budget and to maximise revenue opportunities
You will cultivate an environment where employee engagement is key and where team members feel happy, motivated and have a positive attitude to their customers
You will seek out and nurture relationships with their customers, suppliers and industry networks and play an active role within the community area wherever possible.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Restaurant Manager with previous experience within a restaurant, pub or bar where you have had a high level of autonomy and accountability for business performance and people.

Above all you must be a real \"foodie\" able to spread the word to the Company`s customers about the importance of the art of serving good, fresh and local food in an ever-increasing world where convenience is becoming the norm, they need people who have a love and passion for all things food.
You will be a great team player with good organisational skills with the ability to manage a very busy bar and restaurant, where the Company`s reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality, is second to none.
You should have a passion for producing the perfect dish every time, having a desire to aim for high standards.
What`s on Offer?
Basic salary will be in a range from £28,000 to £29,000 per annum depending upon experience. In addition you will receive tips worth around £3000 per annum.
