Job Details
The Project Manager will lead teams to capture business and technical requirements that meet immediate business needs whilst delivering platforms for future growth. This will necessitate the delivery of key infrastructure projects including networking, cloud services, VMWare, Linux and Windows. The Project Manager will ensure that hardware and software solutions and business change are delivered within the timescales, budget and to the quality required. This will require someone experienced in matrix management including the reporting of progress to senior level internal and external clients. The Project Manager will be a key contributor to the culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with internal and external customers to understand the project’s desired business outcomes
- Cultivate effective working relationships to ensure customer satisfaction
- Agree and manage project objectives, budgets, timescales and risk
- Own projects from launch, roll-out and handover utilising internal/external resources and 3rd parties
- Manage all necessary project meetings, workshops and presentations
- Delivery of communication plans for each project acting as an effective point of control and escalation
- Manage virtual teams to ensure that projects deliver within a wider matrix of deliverables
- Be a recognised mentor in best practice project management techniques
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement
Person Specification:
- Degree level education
- A qualification in one or more of the following:
- Prince2
- Agile PM
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Scrum Master
- ITIL
- Experience of complex technical and service delivery projects across wide area and cloud networks
- Matrix management experience across diverse teams and locations
- Well organised self-starter and time manager
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- An accomplished presenter
- The gravitas to engage with key decision makers and to influence key project decisions
- Advanced document authoring, editing and production
- Analytical with the ability to translate technical language and concepts into plain language
- Use of Microsoft Project or equivalent
