Main Purpose of Job
Assist Senior Engineer in general Highway Safety & Protection of Infrastructure (HSPI) testing activities, including test scheduling, planning and execution, customer liaison, contractor liaison, contractor liaison, data delivery, propsals and reporting
Key Functions
Support Manegement team with planning and control of test team activities
Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations and HSPI test methodology
Understanding and documenting of pre & post-test requirements - measurements, observations
Review and verification of test data and severity indicies
Use of Scheduling software for planning, project records, test scheduling
Compiling small proposals/prices with BDM support
Compiling test reports
Assist with HSPI procedures, Health & Safety, competency records and Continuous improvement, UKAS 17025
Customer liaison, including planning and removal of customer installations, test day supervision and data provision
Liaison with notified body/CE marking
Essential Experience
Test and development experience
Experience in a customer facing role
Experience of writing reports and processing test data/videos
Preferred Experience
Civil and automotive experience
Engineering/Science degree or experential equivalence
Essential Skills
Capable of working in a dynamic and ever changing environment
Excellent attention to detail
Able to multitask and manage multiple projects at once
Able to seld task and progress work without constant direction
Able to work individually or as part of a team
Able to liaise with customers and suppliers, building strong relationships
