Excellent opportunities to join a regional company within one of the largest passenger transport providers in the UK. The Poole Depot offers free parking, flexible rotas, free travel for you and your partner, as well overtime.
The Company was formed in 1987 and has grown through the acquisition of a number of other brands throughout the region.
Constantly seeking the chance to grow the fleet of vehicles and add significant advances such as free Wi-Fi and USB charging points.
Currently seeking Coach Drivers to be based at their depot in Poole. The positions are full time contracts leading to a permanent position.
New drivers will be taking ownership of an acquired coach contract and supplying transport to and from the South Coast at set travel times during the week, with scheduled shifts.
These are great opportunities for someone who wants to get away from bus route driving or back into coach driving.
Key Features of the Role:
You will be the face of the company and its representative during your passenger journey, so a friendly and customer focused attitude is required.
You will be operating a dedicated premier coach service making just 1 trip per day from the South Coast to London and returning on the same day.
You will need to be flexible, dedicated and reliable with the ability to do the job with a positive mental attitude, even during challenging situations, using your experience, knowledge and common sense.
You will only work 5 days from 7 with your working shift pattern varying due to the business requirements. The first run of the day can start as early as 4:30am with a latest return time being 2:40am. As coaches can leave for London anytime from 4:30am to 4:30pm.
All driving work is in accordance with driver hour`s regulations, with typical working hours ranging from 43 to 49 per week.
Knowledge and Skills:
The company requires accomplished and qualified Bus or Coach Drivers for this role.
You must have a Driving Licence Category D (PCV) minimum and a current Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card. If you do not have these your application will be rejected. If they are not detailed on your CV then your CV will also be rejected.
This vacancy would suit a candidate with previous Bus and / or Coach Driver experience. Someone who either wants to get back into long distance transport or wants to transfer across from bus driving or perhaps just wants to move from one Coach Company to another.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer care skills in the face of general service issues or during challenging times.
You will be subject to DBS checks for this vacancy.
What`s on Offer:
43 - 49 hour working week in a full time permanent position as a Coach Driver. Standard working hours are 40 per week.
An hourly rate of £10.01ph, with an equivalent basic annual salary based on a 40 hour week of £20,820.
Additional overtime is available with the average rounding up to 49 hours per week. Which would offer the equivalent salary of £25,505.
Hourly pay increases are available once probation period is completed through on-going pay reviews.
Only 2 standard coach runs per day from the South Coast to London and back, with fixed pick up points along the route.
Work rota and shift pattern set weeks in advance so you can arrange your personal life and family time during downtimes.
Free travel for you and a partner.
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
Company Pension.
Free car parking at the coach depot.
