The Company and the Role:
The Company is an international integrated logistics and facilities management provider who specialise in the military support services sector, post conflict and remote areas.
The company provides expertise in Facilities and Logistics Management and Catering Services Worldwide on Remote Sites, Military and Construction Accommodation Camps, Mining and Energy projects.
They are seeking a Warehouse Manager- Arabic Speaking to manage a food distribution warehouse in Lebanon. This appointment is currently subject to a bid process and if the Company is successful in its bid then the appointment will be permanent.
Key Features of the Role:
You will manage the warehouse operation which will involve the planning and organising of stock levels to ensure availability of inventory to meet customer requirements.
You will implement procedures to improve security of stock and enable inventory control.
You will manage staffing and monitor absences and authorise holidays.
You will manage KPI’s and report to the General Manager all matters concerning performance, disciplinary matters and resource levels
You will co-ordinate all transport logistics associated with the delivery of inbound and outbound stock.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will have experience in food distribution and warehousing and be an English and Arabic fluent speaker with a good level of written skills in both English and Arabic.
Ideally you will have certifications in Warehousing and or formal training.
You should have supervisory experience of staff from the middle east and / or under developed countries and, and the ability to motivate and enforce western work practices and standards.
You should have proven leadership, management and change management experience in a distribution business and held a compromable warehouse management position in another logistics organisation.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally, you should be IT/PC literate with a working knowledge of WMS systems and possess a Drivers Licence.
