An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Field Engineer for an important UK subsidiary of a major international manufacturer of printing equipment. The Electrical Field Engineer will be carrying out installations, maintenance, and repairs to printing machinery. The role is mobile where all work will be carried out at customer’s premises; both in the UK and worldwide. Therefore the successful candidate, based from home, will need to be flexible, motivated and committed with ‘a can do attitude’.

Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of printing machinery including PLCs and Drives
- Some mechanical and pneumatic tasks
- Extensive travel (UK and worldwide)
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Experienced electrical / electronics engineer
- Have understanding of pneumatics / hydraulics
- Flexible and motivated
- Self-disciplined and autonomous
- Be physically fit – at times the role can be physically demanding
- Full UK driving licence and own car
- Due to the security nature of some of our client’s customers, the successful person will have to pass all relevant CRB and/or Disclosure Scotland security checks before employment can commence.
Desirable:
- Have HND/HNC or higher, in relevant discipline
- Experience of automation / PLCs / Drives would be advantageous
Hours:
- Up to 45 hours per week
- Expect to spend up to 60% of time Mon-Fri away from home, and overseas travel for up to 6 weeks at a time (worldwide).
Salary:
£37,000 - £40,000 + overtime
With overtime pay, the overall package after training will be worth circa. £50k/+ (successful applicant will undertake a 6 month probation/training).
