Production Operator Permanent Full time
Main Purpose of Job
Cost effective packaging of the Company`s & Contract customer products
Maintaining line efficiency ator above published targets
Ensures that packaged goods meet the specification for product/package
Commit to coaching and trainging of self/other operators
Performs operational duties as directed by Team Leader or other authorised person
Demonstrate flexible working within trained capabilities
Key Responsibilities
Performs duties necessary to carry out packaging of products according to the program
Prepares and runs allocated machine within guidelines
Monitors standard of packaging to meet specifications
Flags problems to Team Leaders/ Engineers/ colleagues
Carries out basic repairs/maintenance following training from engineer
Assists in/carries out line changeovers between products
To undertake and / or deliver such training as required in puruance of departmental duties and objectives
Identifies/initiates/supports continuius improvement activity
Assists other team members in carrying out tasks
To carry out other duties as reasonable required
Uses skills and experience to correct operational problems/advise pertinent matters to management/engineers/colleagues
Carries out all operator quality checks and records all required line/machine documentation as per the relevant procedure
Responsible for the quality of operation being performed

6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm
