Description :

A meticulous and rigorous individual is sought to monitor production standards for a hugely successful AV rack design, build and installation company. The Quality Assurance Manager is the ‘go to’ person for the company dealing with customer and internal enquiries. Strength of character is essential and an ability to identify where in the construction process slips in quality occur, communicate these findings to management and the individual and arrange training to eliminate repetition of a fault.

The Quality Assurance Manager must have excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with others within the business and customers. In addition, the successful candidate must have a technical background with time served or equivalent electrical and electronic engineering apprenticeship or equivalent. This is an opportunity to really make a difference to the efficiency and effectiveness of a company.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality control on all builds before they are dispatched to the customer (including power testing, testing of connections and cosmetic checks)
  • Identify where quality has been compromised
  • Fix the issue or coordinate with others to rectify it
  • Identify themes and trends and report back to management
  • Liaise with management to devise additional training for team members to alleviate substandard work
  • Improve the production methods and standards from an informed position
  • Over time foster reduced incidents where quality has been compromised

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

  • Electrical or electronics apprenticeship or similar

OR

  • Electrical qualification with cabling background

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within the AV/installations sector

Salary:         £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

Benefits:      20 days + Bank Holidays
