The Company and the Role:
This 5 star hotel situated in the New Forest, Hampshire is currently looking for a dedicated and passionate, customer focused Night Porter, offering award winning guest support throughout the night. The position is permanent.
The Hotel is laid-back luxury at its best - a stunning building set in the middle of the New Forest landscape, where ancillary duties could require you to learn bee keeping or how to land a helicopter, being just some of the amazing experiences you could be involved in.
A multi-award-winning 32 bed hotel with a restaurant which has a different approach to hospitality - fine dining has been thrown out and replaced with a fun dining experience which includes seasonal, locally sourced and fresh British food with an Italian twist.
The opportunity to join their friendly Front of House Night Team, at their Flag Ship 5 Star Hotel venue.
Key Features of the Role:
As a Night Porter you will be in charge of the hotel in the absence of management, and it is essential that you are a confident and committed individual, that is comfortable following directions but also working alone.
You must be able to adapt to different situations that develop in the night, ensuring all the guest`s needs are catered for, at all times.
The Night Porter vacancy is a permanent full time position working 5 days a week, 42.5 hour base. The shift starts at 22:30pm and ends at 07:30am.
Using your customer service skills and experience to achieve positive results with guest enquiries, at late check-in or check-out, late night drinks or food, while the Hotel has restricted services running on its Italian menu and fully licenced bar, to name just the basic few.
Being visible, approachable and engaging with guests during the night shift is a key requirement in this role.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Night Porter.
A robust and reliable attitude is essential in this role, full training will be provided.
You must have previous Night Porter experience within a hotel environment.
You must be an approachable and engaging personality, who can handle guest enquiries and requests during quieter night shifts.
You must be used to working nights, and maintaining a visible presence to any visitors, in a similar customer service role.
Use of Opera Hotel system would be a massive advantage.
Must have your own transport to get to the venue for interview and work, as no reliable public transport links.

A basic salary up to £19,000 per annum. In addition, you will be entitled to a tronc payment.
Training on anything from bee keeping to helicopter landing skills and everything else in-between.

Working 5 days a week, 42.5 hours base. Shift starts at 22:30 and ends at 07:30.
Holiday entitlement is 20 days plus all bank and public holidays, rising by 1 day each year for 5 years.
