Job Details
A HGV Technician is required to join the transport workshop at one of the UK’s leading logistic companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and inspection of the internal fleet, including walking floor and tipper trailers. To be successful you will hold a Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent in light and heavy goods maintenance. To be a successful HGV technician you will have previous experience of servicing, repair to MOT standard, diagnostic testing of HGV vehicles and be used to working in an intensive industrial environment. Key Responsibilities / Experience:
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of the internal fleet consisting of various vehicle types including walking floor and tipper trailers
- Fault finding, diagnostics, preventative maintenance and ad-hoc repairs
- Mandatory inspections in accordance with current legislation
- Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
Qualifications:
- Light and Heavy Goods Maintenance Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent qualification
- HGV Licence (Class 1) – Desirable
- Previous experience of servicing, repair to MOT standard and diagnostic testing of HGV vehicles

Salary: £30,000 - £31,000 (£36,000 - £38,000 OTE)
