The Company and the Role:
The Company is an award-winning family owned gastro pub chain, operating 8 sites in the South East, currently seeking a permanent Head Chef for their award-winning venue near Epsom in Surrey.
The Company is looking for a committed, dedicated and experienced Head Chef with a passion for good food that is ready to continue developing the brand values and excellence in an award-winning venue.
You will be the figure head and talisman for the back of house team. Leading by example and embodying everything that a Great British Gastro Pub should be, from a warm welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, to well cooked food that offers a Dining Sensation.
Established in 2003 the Company is offering a salary up to £35K + tips, bonus and benefits including a pension scheme, staff loyalty scheme after 3 months, Uniform / Chefs Whites and Childcare Vouchers, there is also the potential of Live In accommodation.
Key Features of the Role:
All food is prepared in house using fresh ingredients and local suppliers wherever possible.
You will be expected to create, develop and set the highest standards of food quality and consistency, which the team should aspire to and follow.
You will be a great team player, manager and leader, with good organisational and communication skills.
The Head Chef will have the ability to thrive in a very busy environment as an example to the team, to an award-winning pub standard.
Enhancing the Company`s reputation for consistently preparing cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality and second to none.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Head Chef ideally with experience of working in a fresh food kitchen at a similar level. You will need your own transport to get to the venue.
Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.
Alternatively, the Company is supportive to the ex-military community, they welcome applications from Chefs at all levels who are either about to leave the Armed Forces or who have trained and served as a Chef in the Armed Forces.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring a broad food knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential.
You should possess ambition and personable communication skills to promote teamwork and to continually push the business forward.
What`s on Offer:
Basic salary will be in the region of £26K - £35K per annum plus tips (which will be worth around £80 per week). In addition, there is a monthly bonus scheme.
Other benefits include a pension scheme, staff loyalty Scheme after 3 months, Uniform / Chefs Whites and Childcare Vouchers.
There is also the potential opportunity for Live In accommodation.
Standard working week is 45 hours working 5 shifts a week.
