The Company is currently seeking a CAD Engineer. This is a Contract position and is initially for a period of 6 months with the possibility of an extension and is only open to Limited Liability Contractors or genuine self-employed Contractors registered with HMRC.
Reporting to CAD Manager, to produce CAD drawings in an agreed format which will be stored electronically, printed internally as a master hard copy and which can then be transmitted to the client per the contractual requirements.
Key Features of the Role:
You will be required to produce CAD drawings from Design Engineer hand sketched drawings in a standard format acceptable to the client and in accordance with the Company`s procedures.
Carry out the production of CAD drawings in accordance with the Company`s standard documentation package Storage of CAD produced drawings in the appropriate locations within the servers.
You will be required to produce accurate and consistent drawing production with cross referencing of related drawings with minimum instruction. Create and name cable number ID`s with minimum instruction. Carry out the translation of project the documentation register onto CAD produced drawings.
Self Checking of drawings produced and the completion of work done database. With this will also be the production of Excel based datasheets.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will need to know how to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. There will be database usage too.
You should possess sound AutoCAD experience. The position requires SC clearance and the successful candidate must be able to obtain SC clearance to take up the position and be familiar with electrical drawings.
