Job Details
Class 1 Drivers are required for a large established and highly successful multi-sector company based in the North East of England. The Driver will be travelling UK-wide with mostly non-hazardous loads. Any new recruits will be required to work weekends, which is in line with driver hours, rules and regulations. This role includes regular tramping. The client is looking for individuals with a strong professional and customer focus while interested in a full-time permanent position. Thus, training will be provided to the successful candidates.

Person Specification:
Essential:
- Full LGV/HGV class 1 licence and ideally have previous driving exp.
- Clean and current driving licence
- CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- Be a strong team player, professional and have excellent customer facing skills
- Have a positive attitude to health and safety
- Be willing to carry out day work, night work and tramping
Desirable:
- Full ADR
- Trained on walking floors, tipping trailers, and/or rigid tippers
- Trained on rigid and artic blowers
- Drax, British Gypsum and other site induction trained
Hours:
60 hours+ per week
Any new recruits will be required to work weekends, in line with drivers’ hours, rules and regulations.
Salary:
£9.34/hr for first 48 hours rising to £12.45/hr after 48 hours + benefits + overtime
