Description :

Our client is looking to expand their team and recruit an experienced Security Manager to effectively organise and oversee all security service operations at a prestigious location in Lincolnshire.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader with the ability to manage and develop staff. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain security standards.

The typical working hours will be 8am to 4pm however it is anticipated that the Security Manager would have the flexibility to vary their hours to the needs and requirements of the client (this will be by prior arrangement and overtime will be paid accordingly or time off given in lieu).

Applications from ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain required staffing levels and standards through rostering and monitoring
  • Organise cover for holiday and sickness
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff (including managing job vacancies and interviews)
  • Investigate any disciplinary or grievance issues with staff
  • Coordinate and maintain staff training matrix
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures
  • Attend meetings with Customer to determine operational needs
  • Plan and coordinate operations for specific events
  • Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
  • Review reports on incidents and breaches
  • Investigate and resolve issues
  • Create reports for management on security status
  • Analyse data to form proposals for improvements

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

  • SIA Static Guarding of Door Supervisor license (essential)
  • SIA CCTV Operator license (very desirable)
  • Current full driving license (essential)
  • Proven experience as a security manager
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Committed and reliable
  • Outstanding organisational and leadership skills
  • High school diploma; further education in security administration or similar field will be an asset

Salary:             £23,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)
