LVS Ascot is a co-educational day and boarding school committed to safeguarding, Prevent Duty and promoting the welfare of children and young people ages 4 - 18 Our Site Officers are responsible for keeping the school operational and ensuring that all external sources for transport, event set ups, security, mail and parcel deliveries are managed in a professional, timely manner.

Specific Tasks

  • At the commencement of each shift to review and address the calendar needs of the school.
  • To assist and carry out any porter tasks related to furniture movement, room set up that may be required with other members of the estates team for meetings, or similar events/occasions.
  •  To advise the Head of Estates or appropriate estate person of any maintenance needs observed around the school or reported out of hours. Using the Quadpro system wherever practical.
  • To use the call out procedure if there are more urgent matters to be dealt with whilst on duty.
  •  To operate the Fire Alarm tests weekly when the Carpenter is on leave or absent.
  •  To carry out swimming pool chlorination checks as detailed during weekend shifts logging the results and alerting the plumber if there are any problems either on an on call basis if urgent or logging by e mail for his urgent attention.
  •  To undertake burglar alarm tests monthly, reporting promptly any malfunctions.
  • To assist in the receipt of, delivery and collection of mail and parcels to the school ensuring a log is maintained as required.
  •  To book all tasks into the Quadpro system ensuring both academic and ancillary staff are aware of events.
  •  To monitor the outside lets re their usage of the sports facilities, ensuring that each group keeps within its time constraints and to ensure the facility is secured after use.

The successful applicant will have the ability to manage their own workload, be computer literate, organised and able to complete tasks to a high standard, and be required to be aware of and implement security standards and policy. A team player with a "can-do" attitude and a full, clean driving licence with a D1 rating is essential.

Hours of work are full time as per the Site Officers rota and will total 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum.
