We are acting as a second tier recruitment supplier to a UK focussed recruitment consultancy and solutions provider specialising in technology. They work with organisations of all sizes to deliver recruitment solutions that improve and enhance their clients access to the skills and resource they are looking for.
Their client is a leading IT systems, services and products company employing 11,400 people with an annual revenue of £1.7 billion. Its business is in enabling its customers to realise their objectives by exploiting information technology through its integrated product and service portfolio. This includes consulting, applications, systems integration, managed services and product for customers in the private and public sectors including retail, financial services, telecoms, and government, defence and consumer sectors.
They are seeking a Senior Test Analyst to be based at a site in Berkshire.
The position is permanent. All candidates must hold current Security Clearance to SC level or be willing and eligible to undergo the process (which requires a minimum of 5 years permanent residency in the UK).
The role is that of a Senior Tester, with an expectation of a high degree of technical testing knowledge and the ability to mentor more junior members of staff. The role forms part of a growing team on a project contracted to supply both hardware and software infrastructure solutions based on Windows 2003 server and UAD products.

As a Senior Test Analyst you will be responsible for reviewing requirements and design documents to determine the scope of testing.
You will produce a Test Plan, scoping the testing to be performed at a high level.
You will create Test Scripts, using Test Director, to implement that Test Plan.
You will manually run/evidence such scripts, raising defects as necessary.
You will produce a Test Report, summarising the testing performed.
You will participate in informal and formal reviews of the above.
You will support demonstrations and trials (in-house and on site). Test Scripts will support either or both, as required.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ideally you will be an accomplished Senior Test Engineer with a high degree of technical testing knowledge and testing experience (planning and executing) and applications testing experience.
You will have extensive experience of both test definition and test execution of Web/Email solutions in a secure environment.
You will have experience of leading customer demonstrations.
You will have experience of documentation of Test Case evidencing statements and of providing test documentation within a template based environment.
You will be able to create and own test plans, scripts, reports and required test data and able to create and present formal demonstrations of required capability.
You will be experienced in customer facing at both working and senior stakeholder level.
You will have experience of waterfall and iterative delivery lifecycles and experience of timeboxed proof of concept and demo implementations.
Knowledge and skills which are desirable but not essential are: Strong Windows 2003 Server build experience; Knowledge of AD/GPOs/security clampdowns; AIX, Exchange, Radia, SQL, CITRIX , Sanctuary, Veritas Clustering, McAfee EPO, NetCool; Test Automation especially WINRUNNER/QTP and Knowledge of the Gateways environment.
Familiarity with the following is an advantage: PKI; Chat; Collaborative working; Web, Browse & Publish; Email; Secure Products to IL4.; SMTP Guards Technology and Configuration; Browser Technology and Configuration; Windows Terminal Services (Application Serving and VDI) and Windows Server 2008.
Experience of testing in the defence sector or working in a secure environment is desirable.
You should also be able to mentor more junior members of staff.
