Location:Cardiff
Position:Permanent
Salary/Benefits:£28,000 plus Company Car

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Operation Manager who has experience with strategy development and implementation. The Area Operation Manager must have experience of acting as a Change Management Agent, working pro-actively to make organisational change happen.

The Area Operation Manager must be able ensure that all Key Performance Indicators are achieved by working to the Company`s Mission and Ethos statements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
*To ensure all targets for all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are met.
*To follow the Operational & Achieving Excellence Frameworks across all centres as directed.
*To ensure all new staff are interviewed and inducted prior to training (this includes Operational Induction using the OEF and the implementation of the Physical and Arduous Training pack)
*To support all Lead Instructors to meet their Key Performance Indicators through the Achieving Excellence Framework.
*To liaise with the SLT to ensure all targets for all KPIs are met.
*To attend all marketing events and opportunities and increase the overall marketing of the College.
*To liaise with Recruitment Manager on recruitment planning.
*To liaise with all partners and attend all relevant meetings.
*To carry out internal verification (performance and non-performance sampling) of assessment and on the job training for all teaching staff throughout the year and ensure actions identified are carried out through SMART action planning.
*To gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the qualification database (database with target achievement dates for each student).
*To meet regularly with all Lead Instructors across the area to carry out termly 1-1 meetings and annual appraisals.
*To carry out quality monitoring of teaching, learning & assessment, induction and the reviewing of learners progress.
*To liaise with Career Advisors and Gatekeepers on a weekly basis with reference to potential starts.
*To actively seek new partners who will assist in meeting contract KPIs.
*To gain in depth knowledge of all Management Information Systems.

Key Skills and Candidate Requirements:
*Experience with strategy development and implementation.
*Experience of acting as a Change Management Agent, working proactively to make organisational change happen.
*A strong business acumen
*The ability to build effective teams, coach and develop others.
*The ability to seize opportunity and show initiative.
*The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
*The ability to grasp short and long term priorities and develop systems to achieve them.
*The ability to lead complex projects through to the end.
