Our Client is a leading supplier of security, time and attendance and communication solutions that include CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm, Electronic Article Surveillance, Staff Protection, Paging and Time and Attendance.
They design, install, finance, monitor and service security solutions with industrial, government, commercial, residential and national account customers. Our Client provides the best of both worlds, a local company with global resources and one of the most trusted names in security.
They are currently seeking an Area Fire and Security Service Engineer based in Lancashire/Yorkshire to cover the general North West/North West region. The role is permanent.
Reporting into the GB Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault finding Fire Alarms and Intruder Security Systems, CCTV and Access Control for banking and commercial clients.
As part of the role you will be expected to drive excellent customer service by working with the supervisor and PNC Call Centre, utilising the PDA hand held system, to react to service calls and PMV’s.
You will be accountable for all aspects of your vehicle stock, safety equipment and training.
You must be flexible with regards to working out of hours and be presentable and professional in front of customers.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Service Engineer with experience of the fire and security systems industry.
You will ideally have experience of PAC and Paxton Access Control Systems.
You will ideally have experience of CCTV Systems such as Dedicated Micros and Synectics.
You will ideally have experience of Gent and Advanced Fire Control Systems.
In terms of hardware knowledge and skills you should have a good knowledge of installation and servicing, and be able to use hand/power tools.
You should be a team player, highly organised, efficient and effective.
You will be flexible and open to new ideas and able to manage challenging situations.
You will operate in accordance with our clients Business Values and Business Conduct Procedures and able to lead by example.
You will be IT/PC literate well versed in MS Office etc.
You will have a UK Drivers Licence.
Our client is supportive of ex-military personnel and therefore this role will appeal to someone who has served in one of the Technical Corps.
You should be able to identify potential sales leads and pass these on to sales department.
You will have good communications skills.
You must have good time management and planning skills.
