Introduction: My client is a security certification body, providing inspection and quality management audits to their blue chip client base in the UK and Ireland. Due to continued expansion they are now looking for a Security Systems Auditor to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Field Operations and working from home you will cover the East Anglia Region. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will live in the Cambridge/Newmarket area and will travel to customer sites and carry out inspections/audits on a wide range of security equipment including Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Protection Systems. You will ensure that the systems are compliant with British Standards and other technical specifications including carrying out assessment and audit of Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems complying with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IBS OHSAS 18001. Please note, due to the nature of the role you must be flexible towards travel. Candidates must also be willing to undergo security clearance. Although not essential, candidates coming from an (ex military) background i.e. Army (Royal Signals, Telecommunications/Electronics), Navy (Weapons) or Royal Air Force (RAF, Avionics), particularly those with a technical/engineering and quality management experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: - You will be allocated a portfolio of Approved Companies to which you will be responsible for carrying out a programme of audit and surveillance visits of different types and classes. - Prepare visit plans maintaining a diary of tasks. - Undertake initial assessments/audits, liaison visits and technical complaint inspections for any allocated or new potential clients. - Inspection of electronic security/fire systems for compliance with British Security Standards. - Assessment and audit of Quality Management Systems complying with BS EN ISO 9001 standards. - Prepare information and reports relating to the companies audited. - Appraise and comment upon corrective actions, ensuring reporting deadlines are met. - Undertake ad-hoc investigations or other projects. - Attend meetings, training courses and other sources of personal development.

Applicant Requirements:

Essential: - You must come from a sound engineering background and hold a minimum of HNC level in Electronics/Electrical/Telecommunications. - Experience of quality management systems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels. - Excellent customer service skills. - Great attention to detail. - IT Literate “ including the use of MS Office. - Team Player. - Ability to work on own initiative and remain calm under pressure. - Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise your workload effectively. - Problem solving skills. - Pro-active and flexible approach to work as you will be required to travel on a regular basis. - You must have the facility at home for an office. - Hold a valid UK driving licence.

Desirable: - A good knowledge of security systems including; Alarms, CCTV and Access Control. - Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001. - Hold NEBOSH, IOSH or Environmental certifications. - Hold 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
