Introduction:

Our client is a provider of the support and servicing of bespoke products within the healthcare industry. They provide turnkey solutions to their prestigious blue chip client base across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued expansion they now require a Field Service Engineer to cover the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will report to the Director carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs to a range of bespoke products and equipment. Please note you must be flexible in your approach to work as this position involves extensive travel across the UK and Ireland on a regular basis. Although not essential, this may be well suited to candidates coming from an (ex military) background i.e. Army (REME/Avionics), Navy (Weapons) or Royal Air Force (RAF/Avionics) career are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Carry out field based preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs of laboratory and medical equipment located at customer premises. - Liaison with customers on site; carry out repairs, maintenance and service of a range of products consisting of haematology, biochemistry, kidney dialysis and theatre equipment. - Provision of effective repair service, adhere to contractual response times, accurate and timely call logging. - Install new components to ensure that machinery is working as quickly and efficiently as possible. - Fault find and repair down to component level using a range of testing equipment. - Perform installation site surveys and adhere to the installation schedule, procedures and documentation. - Adhere to the PPM schedule. - Report any machine issues and newly encountered problems to the relevant parties as they arise. - Provide accurate service documentation for site visits. - Please note you must have a flexible approach to working and travelling around the United Kingdom and Ireland when required. - Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company Health & Safety regulations. - Ensure that all systems continue to operate within specification. - Maintain an awareness of company Quality Assurance requirements. - Keep company vehicle accurately stocked and in a serviceable and clean condition. - Take a positive and proactive approach to the promotion of all aspects of the company. - Attend any required company training.

Applicant Requirements:

Essential: - Proven working background within Electrical / Electronic Engineering is essential for this role. - The successful candidate will preferably be educated to HNC level in a relevant discipline (i.e. Electrical / Electronic Engineering). - Full clean driving license. - Excellent fault finding skills. - Ability to manage and prioritise own workload. - Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload. - Excellent customer service skills at all times. - Ability to work on own initiative. - Sound communicator. - Enjoy problem solving. - Flexible approach to work   willing to travel in the United Kingdom and Ireland when required. - Able to work and remain calm under pressure.
