EB7986: Technical Training Manager
Salary: £38,000 to £42,000
Location: Warwick, Warwickshire
Position: Permanent

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Training Manager who is qualified with an ONC in electronics/telecommunications engineering (or an equivalent qualification) OR proven experience working in the Traffic Signal industry or closely related equipment/systems. The Technical Training Manager must have a high understanding of the Highways Electrical Industry, New Roads and Street Works Act and Local Authority Specifications on delivery of highways technology schemes.
You must hold an Internal Auditor qualification (9001) and have a clear understanding and compliance with the relevant quality, environmental, health and safety legislation.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
*Identify, design and develop training and development programmes and ensure training materials are up to date, relevant and comply with external requirements were necessary (ASLEC/LANTRA).
*Manage the administration of ASLEC/HERS registrations, including the end-to-end management of ECS card registrations.
*Conduct internal verification audits on the internal Register of Approved Trainers (ASLEC/HERS).
*Assist in the production of safe systems of works and ensure that appropriate training is identified and delivery is in a timely manner to support business demands and compulsory schemes.
*Ensure that areas of best practice are communicated to the business.
*Produce training and development performance reports as requested.
Key Skills and Candidate Requirements:
*Working understanding and experience of NHSS8 and HERS
*Understanding of the Highways Electrical Industry, New Roads and Street Works Act and Local Authority Specifications on delivery of highways technology schemes.
*Understanding and compliance with the relevant quality, environmental, health and safety legislation.
*Compliance of Information Security Management procedures.
*Commercial and CDM awareness
*PC literate in Microsoft Office including Word & Excel.
*B/TEC Ordinary National Certificate in electronics/telecommunications engineering (or an equivalent qualification) OR proven experience working in Traffic Signal industry or closely related equipment/systems.
*Training qualification (or willing to achieve)
*Internal Auditor Qualification (9001)
*Must be trustworthy, reliable, self-motivated to plan work to cover all activities
