Our client: is the market leader within the Specialist Plant Hire market and due to expansion, has a vacancy for a Workshop Manager to be based in their Bathgate Branch. This branch specialises in heavy plant to tool hire products but niche markets, Utilities and Rail mainly.
THE ROLE:
You will be involved in and oversee all aspects of running a busy workshop. These will include leading the plant fitting team, staff training & performance, personnel issues, stock management and all other responsibilities you would expect.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
As this is a relatively new branch we need someone how has Hire Industry experience within the Construction or Utilities Market Place, you may be a Workshop Manager/Supervisor or even a plant fitter who is looking to get ahead. You must be able to demonstrate a solid track record in managing a cost centre with all of the day-to-day responsibilities listed above. Qualified to NVQ Plant Maintenance level 3 or prepared to undergo training and assessment to this level.
Demonstrable experience of maintaining diesel powered equipment, petrol engines,
hydraulic systems and electrical appliances.
Experience of maintaining relevant equipment in a work shop environment (ideal).
Experience of managing a team of employees in a workshop environment
